BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo's women's swimming and diving team scored a 128.5-84.5 victory over visiting Duquesne on Friday to open the dual-meet schedule at UB's Alumni Arena Natatorium.

UB won eight of the first 10 events before exhibitioning the remaining three events. Sophomores Andrea Lehner (Lockport, NY/Orchard Park) and Jessica Ballard (Montreal, Quebec/Academic Magnet) each won two individual events with Ballard adding a relay victory onto her total.

Lehner, named Mid-American Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday, swept the 100- and 200-yard freestyle races. In the 100-yard race, she turned in a 52.41 clocking. In the 200-yard freestyle, Lehner lowered her time from last weekend's Western New York Invitational and came within a second of breaking the school record with her finish of 1:52.66.
