UB Splits MAC Home Double Dual with Bowling Green and Ball State

Bulls (4-3, 2-2) down BGSU, 173-127, and lost to Ball State, 174-115, at Alumni Natatorium

The University at Buffalo's women's swimming and diving team moved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Mid-American Conference as they defeated MAC opponent Bowling Green, 173-127, and lost to Ball State, 174-115, also in the MAC, in a double dual meet at Alumni Natatorium this afternoon. Ball State defeated Bowling Green 177-123.

Inger Rooneem (Hinton, Alberta/New Westminster) and Dawn Hickey (Brockport, NY/ Brockport) led the way for Coach Dorsi Raynold's team with two wins apiece. Hickey won the 500 (5:07.39) and 1000 (10:27.62) freestyles while Rooneem captured the 50 (24.02) and 100 (52.47) freestyles. Kim Theetge (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) had a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.49).

Buffalo will travel to take on Toledo and Northern Illinois of the MAC next Saturday (1/29).
