Eight Bulls Named to MAC Academic Honor Roll


BUFFALO, NY - Eight members of the University at Buffalo women's soccer team were named to the 2000 Mid-American Conference Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office following the conclusion of the season.

Seniors Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece-Arcadia), Heather Collins (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home), Linnaea DiNallo (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa), Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) and Cherie Rogers (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) and sophomores Megan Hosey (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport), Christine Hunter (Oakville, Ontario/White Oaks) and Elizabeth Pfeffer (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) all received recognition for obtaining a grade point average of 3.00 or higher. To be named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have also attended their institution for an entire year and must have earned a letter during the current season.

The UB women's soccer team ended the 2000 season with a 14-6-1 record, tying the school record for wins and becoming the first team at UB to win a MAC regular season title. The Bulls posted a 2.90 team grade point average for the 2000 Fall semester.
