UB Remains Undefeated

Shutout Win Over Bowling Green Improves Bulls to 8-0-1

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team improved their record to 8-0-1 on the season, defeating Bowling Green 3-0 on the road, extending their unbeaten streak to a school best nine games.

The Bulls were led by Paul Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) who scored twice and handed out an assist in the 3-0 win over the Falcons. Listrani had two goals and an assist in the game against Toledo Friday, helping UB to a 2-0 record in Mid-American Conference play.

It was a scoreless game until the 81st minute, when Listrani took a pass from Heather Collins (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) to knock it in the net for a 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later, Listrani drew the goalkeeper out before dishing the ball to Samantha Swerdloff (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) who scored an easy goal for the Bulls second goal. A minute and a half later, the Bulls struck again as Listrani scored off a pass from Swerdloff for the 3-0 final score.

Goalkeeper Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) recorded four saves on the day and notched her sixth shutout of the season.
