UB Women Settle For TieBulls Still UndefeatedBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team did not come away with a win, but still remain undefeated on the season after settling for a 1-1 tie on the road at Florida International. It was a physical game that saw a total of 56 fouls between the two teams and two yellow cards issued during the game. The Bulls got on the board first as freshman Samantha Swerdloff (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) scored her team-best seventh goal of the year at the 21:52 mark. Swerdloff scored off a corner kick that Paul Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) deflected to Swerdloff for the goal. UB held the lead until 15 minutes into the second half. FIU got a chip shot by Michele O'Brien that got past UB freshman goalie Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport). It was the first goal given up by Cox in her career, and the first start of her career. The Bulls record stands at 6-0-1, the most games to start a season without a loss in
school history. UB will next begin the Mid-American Conference portion of the schedule when they travel
to play at Toledo and at Bowling Green next weekend.
