Bulls Remain UndefeatedUB Beats Hurricanes to Improve to 6-0BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team kept their perfect record with a 3-0 win at Miami-Florida, behind the play of freshman Samantha Swerdloff (Montclair, NJ/Montclair). Swerdloff scored her fifth goal of the season in the 21st minute on an assist from Heather Collins (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) to start the UB scoring. Later in the first half, UB struck again. Off an indirect kcik, Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) dropped the ball off for Collins, who knocked the ball into the top right corner for a 2-0 UB lead. In the second half, Swerdloff broke free and scored an unassisted goal in the 74th minute. It was her team leading sixth goal of the season and helped the Bulls remain undefeated on the season. Goalie Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) recorded her fifth shutout of the season, making eight saves in the game. With the win, UB ties the school record for the best start to a season in school history. The
six wins to open the season match last year's team which also went 6-0 before suffering their first loss.
UB will try to break that record when they play Sunday at Florida International at 1 p.m.
