Higgins Recognized NationallyBUFFALO, NY- Caitlin Higgins (Lancaster, PA/ Penn Manor) was recently recognized by two major organizations within the soccer world, as the freshman midfielder was named to the 2006 NSCAA/Adidas High School Girls Scholar All-America team and the 2006 PSCA/Brine All-State Pennsylvania team.
Higgins had a stellar freshman campaign for UB head coach Jean-A. Tassy in 2006, as she played in all 18 games for the Bulls, starting 16. Additionally, Higgins finished tied for fourth on the team in points scored, with 11, and tied for third on the team in goals scored with four including two game winning goals. Higgins also tallied three assists in her first season at Buffalo. The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team finished its 2006 season with a 8-10 overall record. Sporting a 4-6 Mid-American Conference record, the Bulls narrowly missed qualifying for the league tournament. |
