Bulls Players Get National Recognition

Listrani First-Team All-Region, DiNallo Named Second Team

BUFFALO, NY - After one of the winningest seasons in school history, the UB women's soccer team has received some national recognition for their outstanding play. Juniors Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) and Linnaea DiNallo (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) were both named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Northeast Region All-American team.

Listrani was named to the Northeast Region First Team after leading the team in scoring for the second straight year. Listrani finished with 12 goals on the season and 10 assists for 34 points. She was second in the Mid-American Conference in both points per game and in assists and finished third in goals per game. Listrani was one of just two players in the MAC to finish with double figures in both goals and assists on the year. This is the second year that Listrani has been named to the All-Region team, having been selected as a Northeast Region Third Team All-American last season.

DiNallo was instrumental in the team's success this year as one of the leaders on the defensive end of the field. She was the main sweeper for the Bulls defense that allowed just 16 goals in 19 games and recorded eight shutouts on the season. DiNallo was part of the UB defense that ranked second in the MAC in team defense with a team goals against average of 0.76, and the team was second in shutouts.

UB finished the season with a 13-5-1 overall record and a 7-4-0 record in the MAC. The 13 wins were the second highest win total in school history. The Bulls finished fourth in the regular season standings and lost to Ohio in the quarterfinal round of the MAC Tournament.
