Bulls Players Get MAC Honors

Women's Soccer Players Named to All-Conference Teams

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team had two players named to the MAC All-Conference First Team and two players named to the All-MAC Second Team.

The Bulls players named to the MAC First Team All-Conference were juniors Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) and Linnaea DiNallo (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa). Listrani led the team in scoring this season and leads the MAC in points with 34 (1.88 per game). Her 12 goals and 10 assists are both team highs and second highest totals in the conference. Listrani is the only player in the conference with double figures in both goals and assists.

DiNallo was also named to the MAC First Team for her defensive efforts this season. She was the main sweeper for the Bulls defense that allowed just 16 goals in 19 games and recorded eight shutouts on the season. The team goals against average was second best in the conference at 0.76.

In addition, UB had two players named to the All-MAC Second Team. Junior goalkeeper Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) was selected as the second best keeper in the conference. She recorded 95 saves on the season and had a goals against average of 0.81, second best in the MAC. Adams also recorded eight shutouts on the season, also second best in the conference.

Freshman Elizabeth Pfeffer (Liverpool, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) was selected to the MAC Second Team as well. Pfeffer was the Bulls second leading scorer this season with 10 goals and two assists for a total of 22 points. She ranks seventh in the MAC in points per game (1.29) and had the fourth highest goals scored total in the conference with 10.

Goalkeeper Sarah Willis of Eastern Michigan was named MAC Player of the Year. She recorded ten shutouts in her 16 games played and led the conference with a 0.47 goals against average. Eastern Michigan's Scott Hall was named conference Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to the MAC regular season championship.

UB finished the season with a 13-5-1 overall record and a 7-4-0 record in the MAC. The 13 wins were the second highest win total in school history. The Bulls finished fourth in the regular season standings and lost to Ohio in the quarterfinal round of the MAC Tournament.
