CLEVELAND, OH - Senior Devon Russell (Averill Park, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) was named to the 2003 Women's Soccer Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, as voted on by the faculty athletic representatives of the member institutions that sponsor women's soccer.

Russell, a defender, also earned All-MAC First Team recognition for the 2003 season. Russell started all 20 games and registered two goals and two assists. She was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week and Scholar Athlete of the Week on Sept. 3. A communications major, Russell has a 3.684 grade point average.

Buffalo finished the season with an 11-8-1 record, marking the fourth time in its six seasons in the Mid-American Conference that the Bulls have reached double figures in the victory column. The Bulls have qualified for the MAC playoffs every year that they have been a member of the MAC. The UB season came to an end following a 3-0 loss to Western Michigan in the quarterfinals of the MAC playoffs on Nov. 4.
