Griffiths Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Honor a first for UB Junior

BUFFALO, NY- Junior Heidi Griffiths (Clarence, NY/Clarence) was named to the 2006 College Sports Information Director’s of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District I University Division Women’s Soccer Second Team on Thursday. The honor is the first for Griffiths.

Griffiths is a Biological Sciences major, carrying a 3.98 GPA. After seeing limited action in 2005 due to injuries, Griffiths led the Bulls in points with 14 on the season. The junior finished the 2006 season ranked second on the team in goals scored with five and second on the team in assists, notching four.

The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team finished its 2006 campaign with a 8-10 overall record. Sporting a 4-6 Mid-American Conference record, the Bulls narrowly missed qualifying for the league tournament.
