The Bulls opened the scoring early in the contest when Emily Russell (Averill Park, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) gained control of a rebounded shot from Meaghan Maul (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) and drove it home at the 2:09 mark. The Bearcats answered back in the 40th minute when Caitlin O'Shaughnessy's centering pass found an open Tracy Kasmarcik who was able to find the back of the net.

Buffalo regained the lead early in the second half when Pfeffer found a streaking Natalia Crofut (East Aurora, NY/Iroquois) who ripped a shot past the Binghamton goalkeeper to give the Bulls a 2-1 lead. Binghamton answered back again at the 63:13 mark when Tracy Kasmarcik scored her second goal of the game to tie the contest at two. The game remained tied after 90 minutes of play and the Bulls were forced into overtime for the eighth time this season.

At the 107:22 mark, Pfeffer was pulled down from behind in the box and was awarded a penalty kick. The senior midfielder converted on the kick to give the Bulls a 3-2 win.

Despite allowing three goals, Binghamton goalkeeper Lauren Cherry was terrific in net. The senior netminder made 15 saves on the night. UB goalkeeper Anna-Lesa Calvert (Dallas, TX/Bryan Adams) made four saves to earn her third straight win.

With the win, the Bulls finish the regular season with a record of 7-7-5. Binghamton drops to 9-6-2. The Bulls will now have to wait to see if they play at Ohio or Bowling Green in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
