Women's Soccer To Host MAC Quarterfinal Action on Tuesday

Bulls Face Toledo at 4 pm

BUFFALO, NY — The University at Buffalo women's soccer team will host Toledo University in a Mid-American Conference Tournament quarterfinal game on Tuesday, October 31, at 4pm.

The Bulls finished the regular season in first place in the MAC standings and enter the tournament as the number one seed. They will face the eighth-seeded Rockets at UB's home field. With a win Tuesday, the Bulls would earn the right to host the tournament semifinals and final on their home field this upcoming weekend, November 3-5.

UB finished the regular season with an overall record of 13-5-1 and a conference mark of 8-2-1 while Toledo finished with a 5-11-1 record overall and a 4-6-1 conference mark. The two teams faced each other on October 22, at Buffalo, with the Bulls coming away with a 3-1 win that secured the top seed in the tournament.

Buffalo will be searching for its first-ever MAC Tournament win against Toledo. Last season, Buffalo finished in fourth place and lost to the fifth-seeded Ohio Bobcats, 2-1 in double overtime. In the 1998 season, UB was the sixth seed and lost an opening round match at Northern Illinois.
