UB Drops Second StraightBulls Fall to MAC Leader Central MichiganMt. Pleasant, MI - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team lost for just the third time this season, and for the second straight game, falling 2-0 at Central Michigan. The Bulls were tied for first in the MAC with the Chippewas going into the game, but Central Michigan now improves to 8-2 in the conference while UB falls to 7-3 in MAC play. Central Michigan got on the board first as Sabrina Borgquist scored in the 19th minute on a break away in the box. The Chippewas added an insurance goal in the second half as Emilie Vellemonte scored with a chip shot over the head of Bulls goalie Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia). The Bulls managed just one shot in the game compared to CMU's ten shots. Central Michigan also had 12 corner kicks to UB's one. Adams recorded five saves in the loss. UB falls to 13-3-1 on the season and will finish up the regular season at home on October 30, when the Bulls host Kent at 1 p.m.
