Women's Soccer Falls To Central MichiganMOUNT PLEASENT, MI - Sophomore Lindsay Mislin (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda) put the Bulls on the board in the 66th minute but it was too little too late as Buffalo (8-7, 7-4 MAC) dropped a 4-1 decision to Central Michigan (8-5-1, 7-2 MAC) on Friday evening.
Central Michigan jumped out to an early lead with a goal 6:31 into the game. The Chippewas then added to their lead with goals in the 32nd and 54th minutes before Mislin knocked in her first of the season, scoring from 15 yards out off a pass from freshman Jenny Dannecker (East Amherst, NY/Holy Angels Academy). Central Michigan then added a fourth goal at the 79:53 mark for the final outcome. The Bulls were outshot, 10-1 in the second half and 19-5 for the game. Junior Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) made nine saves in goal for Buffalo. The Bulls, who entered the game in first place in the Mid-American Conference, are now tied with Central Michigan with 18 points each, but sit in second place virtue of the head-to-head tiebreaker. The 2001 MAC regular season champion will earn the right to host the MAC Tournament as long as they remain alive. Buffalo will close out its conference schedule at Eastern Michigan on Sunday, October 21
(12 noon). Eastern Michigan had 15 points heading into its game on Friday night (teams earn three
