Bulls Win Behind Listrani Yet AgainMUNCIE, IN – The UB women’s soccer team responded strong after a loss Friday night at Miami, and took another road win behind the play of Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena), defeating Ball State 2-0 Sunday afternoon. Listrani got the Bulls on the board first with a first-half goal. Her 12th goal of the season came in the 24th minute and put UB on top 1-0. That goal also gave Listrani her 44th career goal, which sets a new UB record for goals in a career. Listrani has already set the record for career points at UB earlier in the season. The Bulls would add to that 1-0 lead late in the second half as Listrani dished the ball to Nicole Olszewski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) who notched her fifth goal of the year and give UB the 2-0 win. Listrani recorded her team-high seventh assist on that play as well. UB goalkeeper Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) recorded the shutout, her fourth and UB’s seventh as a team this season. Buffalo improves to 11-5-0 overall and 7-2-0 in the MAC while Ball State falls to 6-8-2 overall and 2-6-1 in the MAC. The win by UB also keeps the Bulls in a tie for first place with the Miami RedHawks who defeated Kent State today. |
