Buffalo was outshot by Marshall, 30-7. Junior Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) made nine saves in goal for the Bulls while Marshall goalkeeper Ashleigh Woods turned away four shots.

The game was the fourth overtime game for the Bulls. Buffalo had won its last two extended games (Bowling Green and Ball State) after losing its first overtime game of the season to Fairfield.

The Bulls will travel to Ohio on Sunday, October 14 for a 1 p.m. start. The Bulls are currently three points ahead of Ohio in the MAC standings but have played three more games than the Bobcats.
