McCalla Named MAC Player Of The Week

McCalla, a sophomore midfielder, recorded two goals and two assists on the weekend in the Bulls’ back-to-back victories over Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. In Friday’s 4-2 win over Western Michigan, McCalla had a huge afternoon for the Bulls, notching two goals and adding an assist. On Sunday, McCalla assisted on what proved to be the game-winner in UB’s 2-1 triumph over Northern Illinois. Sunday’s assist was McCalla’s team- leading fifth of the season and she is currently tied for third on the team in points this season. Additionally, McCalla has scored two goals for the Bulls this season.

Buffalo will play its next three games at UB Stadium, beginning with a 7:00 pm game on Friday, October 13 against first-place conference foe Toledo. The match-up verses the Rockets will serve as the second game in a UB doubleheader, as the Buffalo men’s soccer team is set to play Western Michigan at 5:00 pm. On Sunday, October 15, UB will take on Bowling Green at 1:00 pm at UB Stadium.
