Bulls Upended by RedHawks, 3-1

OXFORD, OH – The Buffalo women’s soccer team lost to Miami, 3-1, Sunday afternoon in Oxford, Ohio, bringing their record to 4-5-2 (0-4 MAC).

The first half went scoreless as Miami outshot Buffalo, 11-3. Miami scored in the ninth minute of the second half to put the RedHawks up by one. Lindsey Bailey responded for the Blue and White, scoring unassisted off the free kick to tie the game. Bailey continues to lead the Bulls in scoring, notching her sixth goal of the season against the RedHawks. Miami scored again four minutes later, and then again with just under seven minutes reamaining to seal the 3-1 loss.

Total shots on goal for the game went in favor of Miami, 19-11, as UB goalkeeperAmy Coron made six saves for the Bulls. Andrea Vescio had a team-high, three shots on goal.

The Bulls will return home for a four game homestead at UB Stadium. The first of the four games will be against Eastern Michigan on Friday October 10 at 4:30 pm. The Bulls will then take on Central Michigan on Sunday, October 12 at 1:00 pm.
