2-0 loss drops Bulls to 2-3-1 in MAC play

OXFORD, OH - The UB women's soccer team was shut out, 2-0, by Miami in Oxford, OH on Sunday afternoon. Both of the RedHawks' goals were scored by junior Danielle Altiero. She scored her first goal at the 30:40 mark to give Miami a 1-0 lead. Altiero scored her second goal, on a breakaway, in the 81st minute to ice the game for the RedHawks.

The Bulls were outshot 16-7 on the afternoon and did not attempt a corner kick. Miami goalkeeper Leigh Terry made five saves to earn her third career shutout. The RedHawks have now blanked six of their last seven opponents. Buffalo netminder Anna-Lesa Calvert (Dallas, TX/Bryan Adams) made four saves and allowed both Miami goals.
