Bulls Fall to Ball State, 2-1MUNCIE, IN - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at Ball State on Friday night to fall to 2-3-4 overall and 2-2-1 in the Mid-American Conference. With the win, Ball State improved to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the MAC. The Cardinals opened up a 2-0 lead on a late first-half goal by Kate Nadalin at the 43:17 mark and a tally by Dee Nocero, off a feed from Nadalin, at the 52:16 mark. Buffalo got on the board 10 minutes after Ball State's second goal, but it would prove to be too little too late. Senior Meaghan Maul (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hallow Hills East) scored her first goal of the season from the top of the box, with the assist going to senior Andrea Sullivan (Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman). The Bulls were outshot by a 21-11 margin in the game. Senior goalkeeper Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) finished with seven saves. The Bulls play at Miami (OH) on Sunday, September 29 at 1 pm. |
