Bulls Battle Eastern Michigan to a 1-1 Draw

YPSILANTI, MI - The Buffalo women's soccer team battled Eastern Michigan to a 1-1 tie on Sunday afternoon in Ypsilanti, MI.

Natalia Crofut (East Aurora, NY/Iroquois) scored her fifth goal of the season in the 22nd minute to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead. The lead would stand until the 68th minute when Cyndi Mullins scored for the Eagles to tie the contest, 1-1. The game would remain tied through two overtime periods.

Both goalkeepers were solid in the net. Anna-Lesa Calvert (Dallas, TX/Bryan Adams) made four saves for UB. Her counterpart, Nikki Allen, also made four saves.

It was the first tie of the season for the Bulls who are now 5-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the Mid-American Conference. Eastern Michigan is now 3-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference.

Buffalo will next play at Canisius on Friday, September 26 at 7 pm.
