Women's Soccer Plays to Fourth Tie of YearBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team scored a go-ahead goal in the 71st minute but then gave up a game-tying goal less than six minutes later and eventually ended in a 2-2 tie with the visiting Central Michigan Chippewas in the Bulls' home opener at RAC Field. The tie is Buffalo's fourth of the season, bringing its record to 1-2-4 overall and 1-1-1 in the Mid-American Conference on the season. Central Michigan is now 1-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the MAC. The Chippewas got on the board first when Emilie Villemonte scored off a corner kick from Jacqui Lorenzo just over 22 minutes into the game. The Bulls tied things up before the half when freshman Natalia Crofut (Aurora, NY/Iroquois) scored her first goal of the season off a pass from junior Erin McGarry (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) at the 44:23 mark. The Bulls went ahead midway through the second half after Crofut was taken down on a clear break toward the goal and junior Nicole Olszewski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) netted the ensuing penalty kick for her first goal of the year at the 70:50 mark. Less than six minutes later however, at the 76:09 mark, CMU's Jessica LaFevers scored on a corner kick to tie the score at 2-2. Both teams had one shot on goal in the first overtime period and two shots on goal in the second overtime period, but the score remained unchanged. Buffalo sophomore Anna-Lesa Calvert (Dallas, TX/Bryan Adams) made three saves in net for the Bulls, and Central Michigan's Kari Alexander finished with seven saves for the Chippewas. The Bulls are next in action on Sunday, September 22 when they host Eastern Michigan at 1
