Women's Soccer Falls In MAC Contest

Buffalo Drops 2-1 Decision At Toledo

BUFFALO, NY - Junior Andrea Sullivan (Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman) tied the game in the 63rd minute but Toledo rebounded with a goal 7:04 later to take a 2-1 win over the University at Buffalo in Mid-American Conference women's soccer action on Friday night.

Toledo struck first with a goal 9:17 into the game when Robin Davidson scored unassisted. The score would stand until the second half when Sullivan hooked up with freshman Breanna McJury (Brockport, NY/Brockport) to tie the game. However, the tie wouldn't last long as the Rockets added the game-winner in the 70th minute to earn the victory.

Junior Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) recorded five saves in goal for Buffalo. The Bulls (3-4-0, 2-1-0 MAC) outshot Toledo (3-2-1, 2-1-1 MAC), 17-15.

Buffalo will travel to Bowling Green for a match on Sunday, September 23, at 12 noon before returning home to host MAC rivals Miami and Ball State on September 28 and 30, respectively.
