Buffalo Falls to Central Michigan, 3-0MOUNT PLEASANT, MI - Central Michigan scored a goal 17 seconds into its game with Buffalo and never looked back, beating the Bulls, 3-0, on Friday afternoon in Mount Pleasant, MI. Central Michigan (2-2-2, 1-1-1 MAC) got off to a quick start, scoring all three of its goals in the first 28 minutes of the game. The Chippewas' opening goal was recorded by Stacy Downing who, off the opening kick, snuck behind the Buffalo defense and scored. It was the fastest goal in Central Michigan's history. Rachel Snyder scored the Chippewas' second goal in the 23rd minute. Jacquie Lacek put Central Michigan up 3-0 with a blast off a corner kick in the 28th minute. The Bulls nearly doubled Central Michigan in shots, outshooting the Chippewas, 21-11. However Central Michigan goalkeeper Anne Decker turned away 12 shots to earn the shutout. Natalia Crofut (East Aurora, NY/Iroquois) led the Bulls with four shots. Emily Russell (Averill Park, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) and Jenny Dannecker (East Amherst, NY/Holy Angels Academy) each had three shots for Buffalo.
