Women's Soccer Wins in ShutoutSTONY BROOK, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team defeated Stony Brook 2-0 in the first round of the Stony Brook Tournament. Jacksonville defeated Belmont 3-0 in the first game of the day, setting up a UB matchup against Jacksonville for Sunday. The Bulls and Seawolves played a scoreless first half as each team took four shots but could not connect with the net. In the second half, the Bulls' Andrea Sullivan (Dublin, OH/Dublin Coffman) took a shot that got past the Stony Brook goalie, and a Stony Brook defender deflected the ball into the net for an own goal. UB would add to that lead later in the half as Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) scored on a pass from Lauren West (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) at the 80:50 mark for the 2-0 win. Sophomore Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) played on goal for UB, recording four saves and her first shutout of the season. The Bulls won for the second straight time, and improved to 5-2 on the season. UB will next
