Bulls Fall to Western MichiganKALAMAZOO, MI - Playing its sixth consecutive road game may have finally taken its toll on the UB women's soccer team as the Bulls fell to Western Michigan, 5-0, in Kalamazoo, MI on Sunday. The Broncos scored three first-half goals to set the tone. Kersten Conklin and Sara Cultra each scored a pair of goals for Western Michigan. Bronco freshman goalkeeper Kate Perz made six saves on the day to pick up the shutout. Bulls' starting netminder Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) had a rough afternoon, allowing five goals and making six saves. The loss drops the Bulls to 1-2-3 overall and 1-1-0 in the MAC. Western Michigan improves
to 3-3-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the conference. The Bulls will play their home opener on Friday, Sept.
20 against Central Michigan at RAC Field. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. |
