Junior Emily Cox (Fairport, NY/Fairport) made eight saves in a strong effort in goal for the Bulls. Sophomore Nicole Olszewski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) was the main offensive threat for Buffalo, recording four shots. Also offensively for the Bulls, sophomore Emily Russell (Albany, NY/Academy of the Holy Name) collected three shots while twin-sister Devon Russell (Albany, NY/Academy of the Holy Name) had two shots of her own.

The 1-2 start for the Bulls marks their worst start since the 1997 season. Last year, Buffalo began the season 3-0 and finished with an overall record of 14-6-1.

The Bulls will remain on the road for a match on Sunday, September 9, at Boston University (12 noon) before they come back home to host conference-rival Akron on Friday, September 14, at 7 p.m.
