Buffalo Women's Soccer Falls, 4-2

Minnesota rallies with two late goals to knock off the Bulls

ST. PAUL, MN - The UB women's soccer team opened its 2003 season with a 4-2 loss to the host Golden Gophers at the Minnesota Invitational on Friday. After falling behind 2-0, Buffalo battled back to tie the score, only to see the Golden Gophers register the game's final two goals.

Down 2-0, Shannon Ferreira (Brampton, Ontario/Cardinal Leger) got Buffalo on the board at the end of the first half. Following a feed from Lauren West (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna), Ferreira fired the ball into the lower right side of the net.
