Bulls set to face Florida Gulf Coast and Florida International in August

“We are excited about our 2008 schedule,” said Michael Thomas. “It will allow us to compete in three very distinct regions of the United States, while still keeping alive our local rivalries”

The season begins with an exhibition game at Colgate on Aug. 17. The Bulls will then host Mercyhurst in an exhibition game on Aug. 20 just prior to a three-game road swing pitting the Bulls against regional-rival Niagara on Aug. 25. Buffalo then travels to Florida Gulf Coast on Aug. 29 and Florida International on Aug 31.

To kick off the month of September, UB is set to host Howard at UB Stadium on Sept. 5 at 3:00 pm followed by a home game vs. city-rival Canisius on Sept. 12 at 7:30 pm. The Bulls then proceed with a road contest against Cornell on Sept. 19 and a match vs. St. Bonaventure in Olean, NY on Sept. 21.

Buffalo will open Mid-American Conference competition against Akron under the lights of UB Stadium on Sept. 26 at 7:00 pm. On Sept. 28, UB is set to host Ohio University at 1:00 pm.

After a two-game trip to Ball State and Miami (OH), the Bulls return home for a four-game home stand, beginning with a match against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 10 at 4:30 pm. Buffalo will then take on Central Michigan on Oct. 12 at 1:00 pm, Northern Illinois on Oct. 17 at 7:00 pm and Western Michigan on Oct. 19 at 1:00 pm.

The Bulls then conclude the regular season with three road games, beginning with a venture to Toledo to take on the reigning MAC Champions on Oct. 24, a game against Bowling Green on Oct. 26 and a final contest against Kent State on Oct. 30.

Buffalo finished 2007 with a 7-10-2 record (4-6-1) under now-retired head coach Jean-A. Tassy.
