Women’s Soccer Announces 2008 Team Awards Lindsey Bailey and Courtney MacVie earn honors BUFFALO, NY-The University at Buffalo Head Coach Michael Thomas announced his team awards for the 2008 season. Lindsey Bailey earned the Offensive MVP award, while Courtney MacVie took the Defensive MVP award for the year.
Bailey lead the Bulls in goals, netting eight on the season and finished the year with a team high 20 points, and also led the Bulls in shots with 46, 25 of which were on goal. The sophomore had two game winning goals on the season, one to lift the Bulls to a 1-0 win over local rival Niagara early in the season, and the other against Florida International University, where the Bulls won 2-0. Bailey was named to the second-team All-MAC at the conclusion of the season.
MacVie was a stand out defender for the Bulls, helping the Bulls to a record four consecutive shutouts in the 2008 season. The senior added four shots on the season. The Bulls ended the 2008 season with a record of 4-10-4.
