UB Women's Soccer Adds Local TalentBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer program announced the signing of two more players for this upcoming season. The Bulls continued their local recruiting efforts by signing two of the top players in the Western New York area. Lindsay Mislin (Tonawanda, NY/Tonawanda) was a first team All-Western New York selection last season. She was also an All-ECIC selection last year as well as the team's Most Valuable Player. She has also played as a member of the Germania Club team. "Lindsay will bring to our program a player with speed, quickness, a hard working mentality and finishing skills that we will need on top," said UB head coach Jean-A. Tassy. "Her tenacity and scrappiness on the ball and her ability to beat defenders one-on-one will be valuable assets to the team. What impresses me most is her competitive spirit and her will to win." Nicole Olsewski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) was also an All-Western New York and an All-ECIC selection last season. Olsewski is a member of the state Olympic Development Program and was chosen as an All-State player last year. She has played alongside fellow signee Lindsay Mislin on the Germania Club team. "Nicole will bring creativity, quickness, speed and a great tactical understanding as an attacker to our program," said Tassy. "Her strength in the air, her field vision and her ability to turn up the speed when attacking an opponent really impress me." Both players join a group of eight total players the Bulls have signed to play next season. UB signed
six players earlier this spring. |
