Thomas Adds One More To Recruiting Class

Aubrey Stahl signs on for the 2008 season

BUFFALO, NY - First-year women’s soccer coach Michael Thomas has announced the signing of Aubrey Stahl (Loveland, CO/Mountain View) to a National Letter of Intent to play at the University at Buffalo for the upcoming 2008 season.

Stahl joins the Bulls from the Fort Collins Arsenal Soccer Club where she has collected numerous awards. While competing at Mountain View High School in Loveland, CO, Stahl has been named All-Conference three for three straight years. In 2006 she was named the All-Area Player Of The Year as well as being named to The Denver Post All-State team as an honorable mention selection. In 2007 she was named the team MVP and an All-Area selection despite missing half the season with a knee injury.

Stahl has also excelled on the academic side as she has been named Academic All-State First Team and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is equally well traveled on the club soccer side playing for the State semifinalist, Fort Collins Arsenal, and the Fort Collins Force W-League team.

“Aubrey is comfortable on the ball and capable of making a telling pass, as well as scoring on her own,” said Thomas. “In addition to that, she is an accomplished student and we look for her to be a leader on and off the field and we look forward to her joining an already outstanding recruiting class here at Buffalo.”

Stahl joins Angelina Claughton (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop McNally) and Deanna Rowe (Harrison City, PA/Penn-Trafford) who signed National Letters of Intent earlier this month.
