UB's Listrani Receives All-American Honor

BUFFALO, NY - UB women's soccer player Paula Listrani (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) was selected as an NCAA District 1 Third Team All-American selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Listrani was one of 11 players named to the third-team and one of eight sophomores named to either the first, second or third teams.

A sophomore forward for the Bulls, Listrani was the teams leading scoreer for the season. She scored 13 goals and had three assists for a total of 29 points on the year. Her 13 goals and 29 points both rank as the third highest total for a single season in school history. In addition, Listrani now has 19 career goals, which ranks eighth on the career record list at UB. Her 41 career points put her ninth in school history for most points in a career.

This is the second post-season award for Listrani, who was earlier named as a Mid-American Conference first team academic all-concerence selection.

Listrani was a key factor in the success of coach Jean Tassy's team this season. In thier first season in the Mid-American Conference, the Bulls finished with 10-6-2 overall record and 3-5-2 in the conference, good for seventh place.
