Bowling Green Hands UB Soccer Women 2-1 LossThe University of Buffalo women's soccer team, which came back from a 1-0 deficit late in Friday's match, surrendered a goal with just 1:33 remaining in regulation and dropped a 2-1 decision to Bowling Green University in a Mid-American Conference soccer match. Buffalo freshman Caryn Davis (Cherry Hill, J.J./Cherry Hill-East High), headed in a corner kick off the foot of Julie Listrani with just 2:57 to play in regulation to knot the game at 1-1. However, just 1:23 later, the Falcons closed in 2-on-1 on UB goalkeeper Jaime Adams, Adams committed to one side and Stephanie Heller, who scored Bowling Green's first goal, passed to a wide-open Tracy Gleixner, who booted the ball in for the winner. The two teams played to a scoreless first half but Heller slammed home a shot from the top of the penalty box at 60:13 to put the hosts up. Bowling Green outshot UB, 16-10. Adams made four saves and Sarah Gawel, her Bowling Green counterpart, made four. The Falcons, a second-year intercollegiate program, are now 2-1 in the MAC and 5-3
overall. Buffalo stands 7-2 and 1-2.
