Niagara Downs UB 1-0BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team dropped another close game Saturday (10/19) afternoon at RAC Field, losing to Niagara University 1-0. Although the Bulls outshot the Purple Eagles 16-5 for the game, they were unable to put the ball in the net. Following a scoreless first half, action was spirited in the second with both teams having excellent scoring chances. Finally at 84:55, Niagara's Jenny Lannier slipped the ball past UB goalkeeper Jaime Adams (Rochester, NY/Greece-Arcadia) and into the left side of the net after she had come out to play the ball. Niagara keeper Jackie Konick made seven saves in earning her sixth shutout of the season. The Bulls (4-9-1) head back out on the road for three games, including this Tuesday (10/21) when they face crosstown rival Canisius at 7:00 pm. |
