The Bulls held their last lead at the 14:25 mark of the first half on a jumper by Brittany Hedderson. The Cougars then went on a 16-5 run to take a 10-point lead in the opening half. UB would cut the lead to as little as five in the half, but Houston took an eight-point advantage into the lockerroom. Houston opened the second half on an 11-2 run to extend its lead and the Bulls never got any closer than 12 points in the half, which they did on a three point play from Dortae Freeman with 7:20 left in the game.
