Bulls Drop Exhibition GameBUFFALO, NY - The UB women's basketball team lost to the Syracuse Action, 65-53, Sunday afternoon in the team's first and only exhibition game this season. The Bulls trailed 34-28 at halftime and managed to take a short lead early in the second half. UB scored the first eight points of the second half and took a 36-34 lead on a layup by Sonia Ortega (Chihuahua, Mexico) at the 17:22 mark. Two minutes later, the Syracuse Action would regain the lead, 38-36 on a jumper by Danene Hopson and would never trail the rest of the game. In the first half, both teams battled hard as the lead went back and forth. There were a total of 12 lead changes and five ties in the first 16 minutes of the game, with UB's largest lead at four points, 26-22, at the 5:18 mark on a layup by Nisha Wilson (Toronto, Ontario). The Syracuse Action then used a 12-0 run to go up by eight points and led 34-28 at the half. The Bulls were led by Tiffany Bell (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield) with 14 points and Sonia Ortega with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Cachet Johnson (Toronto, Ontario) added 11 points off the bench. UB will being the regular season against Niagara at the Western New York Classic on Nov. 20,
