all-time single-season leading scorer
Brown became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 532 points in one season. Brown helped lead the Bulls to their first ever appearance in the MAC Tournament Semifinals and was named to the MAC All-Tournament team. Brown was just one of two players in the MAC last season to be in the top five in the conference in scoring, rebounds and blocked shots. Brown also set the school record for field goals in a season with 220 and finished in the top 10 in single-season records for minutes played, rebounds and blocked shots. Last season, Brown had 25 games where she scored in double figures, including 12 games where she scored at least 20 points. She had a career-high 31 points against Ball State becoming the first UB player to score 30 points in a game since 2003. She also dropped 30 on Bowling Green in late February, a game where she added 14 rebounds as well. Brown is joined on the East Team by Lauren Prochaska and Tracy Pontius from Bowling Green, Kara Murphy from Akron and Jennifer Bushby from Ohio. The West Team is comprised of Tanika Mays and Naama Shafir from Toledo, Danielle Gratton and Emily Maggert from Ball State and Britni Houghton from Central Michigan. The Bulls open their season on Nov. 13 at Niagara. UB hosts an exhibition game on Thursday, Nov. 5 against Mercyhurst. Tip off is set for 7:00 pm.
