Women's Basketball Announces 2006-07 Award Winners
Turner, who has won the Most Outstanding award each of the last three seasons, led the Bulls in scoring and rebounding. Following the season, Turner was named an honorable mention All-MAC selection. Turner also remained in the top 10 in the nation in field goal percentage throughout the season, finishing at 60.6 percent.
Brown averaged 7.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in her first season in a Buffalo uniform, but it was her blocking ability that made her such a dominant force on the court. Brown led the team with 31 blocks on the season. In a game against Eastern Michigan, Brown scored UB's first 12 points of the contest.
Matthys had a breakout season in her sophomore campaign as she finished third on the team in scoring with 8.9 points per game. Matthys also finished second on the team in three-point shooting as she hit 49 on the year. Matthys netted a career-high 22 points in a victory over Central Michigan.
Zuber saw action in all 29 games off the bench for the Bulls and played valuable minutes at the point. Averaging 12.1 minutes per game, Zuber had 39 assists and 14 steals on the year. She had two three-pointers on the season and recorded 1.6 points per game overall.
