Kourtney Brown Named To MAC Tournament All-Tournament Team

Brown helped lead the Bulls to their first ever conference semifinal

BUFFALO, NY – Redshirt sophomore Kourtney Brown was one of five players named to the Mid-American Conference Tournament’s All-Tournament team following Sunday’s championship game. Brown helped lead the Bulls to the conference semifinals for the first time in school history where the Bulls fell to the eventual MAC Champion, Ball State.

For the three games, Brown averaged 18.0 points and nine rebounds, including a double-double in UB’s first round win over Northern Illinois. Brown also finished second in MAC Tournament history with her 13 blocked shots in the tournament, including a career-high seven blocks in the first round. Brown finished the 2008-09 season as UB's single-season scoring leader with 532 points.

Brown is joined on the all-tournament team by Bowling Green’s Tracy Ponitous (MVP) and Nicki McCoy, Ball State’s Emily Maggert and Tanika Mays from Toledo.
