Kochendorfer Named Honorable Mention All-MAC
Kochendorfer led the Bulls and currently ranks among the top 10 in the MAC in both scoring (13.8 points per game, seventh in the MAC) and rebounding (8.5 rebounds per game, fourth in the MAC) in 2003-04. She also ranks second in the league with 2.24 blocks per game, and her 56 blocks on the year are the second most in a single season in UB women's basketball history. Kochendorfer finishes her career fourth all-time in both scoring and rebounding at UB with 1,275 career points and 767 career boards.
"I'm really happy that Jessica's performance was recognized among the best in the conference," said head coach Cheryl Dozier. "She's worked hard for four years and put together a great career here. I wish we could have had more team success in her senior year, but she definitely deserves this individual recognition." Kochendorfer was also an honorable mention All-MAC pick as a sophomore in 2001-02, and
she was a two-time Preseason All-MAC East Division selection. Kochendorfer and the Bulls finished
the 2003-04 season with a 6-21 overall record following a 69-45 first-round MAC Tournament loss
at Marshall on Saturday. |
