Kourtney Brown Named MAC East Player of the Week The redshirt sophomore picks up the award for the third time this season
Brown began the week by scoring 30 points and having a then career-high 14 rebounds against nationally-ranked Bowling Green. Brown and the Bulls took the Falcons into overtime before falling 89-82. Brown scored six of her 30 points in overtime as the Bulls and Falcons combined for the highest scoring overtime period in NCAA history. Brown then added 25 points and a new career-high 16 rebounds on Saturday afternoon as the Bulls defeated Akron, 69-49. The 25-point game was her 11th 20-point game of the season and the double-double was her seventh of the year. For the week, Brown shot 72.9 percent from the floor, converting on 24 of her 33 shots in the two games. Brown currently leads the Bulls in scoring (16.6), rebounding (7.9), field goal percentage (.577) and blocks (43). The Bulls wrap up the regular season with their final two games on the road beginning this Wednesday night at Kent State. Tip off is set for 7:00 pm.
