UB Women's Hoops Closes Out Road Stretch At MiamiBUFFALO, NY - This Saturday at 2 pm, the Buffalo women's basketball team kicks off Miami/UB basketball doubleheader at Millet Hall in Oxford, OH. The Bulls will be closing out a stretch of three straight road games, having gone 1-1 in the previous two.
Senior forward Jessica Kochendorfer (Allen, MI/Quincy) remains UB's leader in scoring (13.8 points per contest) and rebounding (8.4 boards per game). The RedHawks (19-6, 13-1 MAC) have won 11 straight overall and eight in-a-row at home. On Wednesday, Miami clinched an outright MAC title with a 75-65 win over Ball State. Senior forward Colleen Day leads the RedHawks in scoring at 14.5 points per game, but sophomore guard Cindi Merrill's 13.5 points per contest are not far behind. Merrill posted a game-high 28 in Miami's 94-64 win at Buffalo in January. The RedHawks hold a 5-3 all-time series lead over UB, having taken four of the last
five matchups. However, the Bulls have won two of the three all-time contests held at Millett Hall. |
