Jessica Kochendorfer

CLEVELAND, OH - University at Buffalo women's basketball sophomore Jessica Kochendorfer (Allen, MI/Quincy) was named Mid-American Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 10, as announced today by the league office.

Kochendorfer, a business/accounting major with a 3.3 cumulative grade point average, averaged 23.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games last week. She scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds at Western Michigan on Tuesday, February 5 before posting her sixth double-double of the season with a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds at Ball State on Saturday, February 9. Kochendorfer shot a combined .536 from the floor (15-for-28) in the two games and shot .941 from the foul line (16-for-17), tying her career high with 11 free throws against the Cardinals. Kochendorfer has scored 20 or more points in each of her last three games, and she has scored in double figures in 14 of her last 15 games. She is averaging team highs of 15.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, both sixth in the MAC, as well as 1.48 blocks per game, second in the MAC. In conference games only, she ranks second in the league in all three categories (16.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.58 blocks).

Kochendorfer and the Bulls (9-14, 4-8 MAC) host Marshall at 7 pm tomorrow night at Alumni Arena.
