“Think Pink” and “Hoopla” Highlight Women's Basketball Game vs. NIU
“Think Pink” is an awareness campaign sponsored by the WBCA in which coaching staffs and game day support staffs around the country will be wearing pink to show support for coaches battling cancer. Head Coach Linda Hill-MacDonald is also encouraging fans to wear pink Saturday to show their support. Pink ribbons will be available and distributed to fans. “Hoopla” festivities will take place throughout the game in the end zone and will include inflatables, airbrushed tattoos, clowns and mascots. The Bulls enter Saturday's contest with a 6-13 overall record, 1-6 in the Mid-American Conference. Northern Illinois comes to Buffalo sporting a 12-6 mark, 4-3 in conference play. Last season these two teams played a triple overtime thriller in DeKalb, IL, in which Northern Illinois eventually outlasted the Bulls 81-72. Fans unable to attend Saturday's game will be able to watch the action via live webcast on buffalobulls.com. The contest will be the first Buffalo women's basketball game streamed live and the second of seven total UB basketball games available via live streaming video.
