BUFFALO, NY - Nine members of the University at Buffalo women's basketball team were named scholar athletes for the Fall 2000 semeseter, helping the Bulls post the third-highest team grade point average at UB with a 3.159.

Seniors Mari McClure (Rochester Hills, MI/Rochester Adams), Tiffany Bell (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield) and Tara Perrier (Aurora, Ontario/Aurora), juniors Jana Richtrova (Benesov U Prahy, Czech Republic/Genesee Community College) and Kate McMeeken-Ruscoe (Nelson, New Zealand/Hawaii), sophomores Rachel Martin (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Deb Sellan (Corfu, NY/Pembroke) and freshmen Jessica Kochendorfer (Allen, MI/Quincy) and Virginia Jennings (Nashville, MI/Hastings) all received scholar-athlete honors for the Fall semester by earning a GPA of 3.0 or above.
