Buffalo, now 3-9 overall, broke out for a season-high 79 points in a convincing 19-point win over Mid-American Conference rival Marshall on Saturday. Earlier in the week, UB posted a 64-60 win over Cornell.

The efforts of Jessica Kochendorfer (Allen, MI/Quincy) during those contests earned her MAC East Division Co-Player of the Week honors. The Bulls' senior forward remains the team's leader in scoring (13.4 points per game), rebounding (8.3 boards per contest) and blocks (2.4 per game).

In the victory over Marshall, UB received significant backcourt contributions from a pair of sources. Sophomore guard Brooke Meunier (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) scored 20 points, while junior Allison Bennett (Springfield, OH/Kenton Ridge) chipped in a career-high 17 points.

But the key for Buffalo may remain at the defensive end of the floor. When holding its opponents to 60 points or less - as UB has done in its last two games - Buffalo has a 3-1 mark.

Holy Cross enters tonight's game with a 6-9 record, coming off a 71-65 win over Lafayette on Saturday. The Crusaders are led by junior guard Maggie Fontana's 14.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. She posted a triple-double in the victory over Lafayette.

The Crusaders play an aggressive style of basketball, averaging 9.1 steals, but also 24.3 turnovers per contest.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools, but they have faced two common opponents this season. Both teams dropped road games at Colgate and home match-ups with St. John's.
