Bulls Hoping To Win Second StraightBUFFALO, NY - Coming off a 64-60 victory at Cornell on Monday, the UB women's basketball team is hoping to string together consecutive wins for the first time this season when Marshall visits Alumni Arena on Saturday. Buffalo, which is 2-9 overall, will also be looking to remove the goose egg from its 0-2 Mid-American Conference mark.
At 10-4 overall and 2-2 within MAC play, Marshall enters with an imposing post presence, as well. Senior forward Catie Knable is currently averaging a double-double with 10.0 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest. The Thundering Herd tower over Buffalo in two key statistical categories - scoring (70.4 points per game to UB's 57.0) and rebounding (45.0 boards per game to UB's 35.3). The Bulls will need to overcome those numbers in order to even the all-time series.
Marshall currently holds a 5-4 edge, including a 62-59 overtime victory over UB in Huntington, WV last season. |
