Buffalo Falls to Kent

Blazewski Gets Career-High as Bulls Drop to 12-3, 2-2

The University at Buffalo women's basketball team dropped to 12-3 overall and 2-2 in the Mid-American Conference with a loss to the East Division's top team Kent, 74-65 at Alumni Arena tonight. Freshmen forward Katie Blazewski (Plymouth, MI/Detroit Country Day) recorded a career-high 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds to lead the Bulls in only its third loss of the season and second in the league.

The Golden Flashes were led by senior guard Dawn Zerman, who recorded a career-high 31 points as she went 9-of-16 from the field and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Kent moves to 11-4 overall and 5-0 in league play.

Tonight's loss is Buffalo's first in Alumni Arena this season. The Bulls return to action Monday night (1/17) at Western Michigan for a 7:00pm matchup.
